Our aim at berserker-engineering is to provide you with access to Land Rover spares that are either no longer available or are a little more tricky to get hold of! As well as providing an informative website for all Land Rover fans. We have worked in the engineering trade for many years and have many contacts which make it easy for us to get an excellent quality product at the right price. A Year In The Life Of My Land Rover Series II
In this section of the site I will be giving the world a glimpse of a year in the life of my 1964 Land Rover series 2 My little series had a very eventful 2009 so once a month I will be updating the site with it's ups and downs. January: January 2010 must be best known for the heavy snow which fell across the country. Thankfully my Land Rover was in full working order, unlike last February's snow when the head gasket blown! The Land Rover loved the snow and it had no problem whizzing around in four wheel drive, I even earnt myself a bottle of wine by towing the chap at the top of the road up our hill in his rear wheel drive Lexus.
Bad Points of the Land Rover in January spending a good five minutes a day scraping the ice from the inside of my screen before going to work. Running out of petrol twice as my fuel gauge is playing up. Engine running rich causing plugs to blacken, cleaned the plugs off and all seems well for the time being. Having to drive round with both vents open so that the windows don't steam up.
Good Points: Having great fun and not getting stuck in the snow.
Number 1 priority in February: Fix fuel gauge
February: February started well with the Land Rover running fine, until all of a sudden I was getting problems with the engine at mid range (30-40mph) its hard to explain but I was experiencing a slight splutter and a loss of power? After asking a few people nobody really knew what the problem could be. I was out of action for a 4 days and the list below shows what was replaced.
Spares used this month:After all of that it was nice to get back in the LR and it ran like a dream! Its now the 9th of Feb and I hope nothing else go's wrong this month!! 15th of Feb: Its now running on three cylinders, getting a bit cheesed off to be honest!
21st Feb: After repairing a damaged spark plug the engine is running perfectly at the minute, all is well and its a pleasure to drive.
August: its now August and the series 2 is running well and due for an MOT so just checking over a few bits to make sure we get through ok, And as soon as it has a full MOT im sorry to say its going up for sale! its now the time for a change so im looking out for a new Land Rover to play with.

Instead of your standard axle breathers fitted to your 4x4 land rover you can now replace them with these great little axle breather kits! Your kit is as shown on the image above you are also supplied with a fixing kit to attach it securely inside your engine bay and 20 cable ties to secure the pipe. The hard wearing and much more attractive brass manifold can be mounted high in the engine bay allowing the vehicle to drive through deep water whilst allowing your axles to breath, also fitted with a small vent to prevent any blockages that could prevent air flow. If you choose to purchase an axle breather kit you need to supply me with the following info: The thread size of your standard breather on your axle so I can supply you with the correct fittings The approximate length of plastic pipe you need to reach from each axle to the point your breather manifold will be placed. PLEASE REMEMBER IF YOU NEED A BREATHER TO SUIT A CERTAIN PURPOSE PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH YOUR REQUIREMENTS AND I WILL SEE WHAT I CAN DO!
